ART COURSES AT BRADNESS GALLERY are run by the artists Emma Burnett and Michael Cruickshank.
Emma and Mike are extremely proud to have never had less than a 5 star review for our art courses. We are a small business and so we live or die by our reputation. We feel passionately about encouraging people to create art. Neuroplasticity research now shows that being absorbed in creating art forms strong positive bonds in our brains which can make us generally happier in life. Art is not about the outcome it is about being absorbed in and enjoying the process. Having said that, you will receive top quality tuition in all the techniques that you would like to learn. Most of our courses provide top quality materials so you don’t need to spend money before you come along.
We have fresh coffee and cake and a delicious home cooked lunch with wine. Come from 9.30 for a welcome drink and the day finishes at 4.30pm

Emma teaches flower painting, abstract painting, colour mixing and hand painted lampshades
Mike teaches landscape painting
Fiona, known as lovely Fiona, looks after us all during the day with her gentle caring ways, fresh coffee, cake and scrumptious lunch.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Biscuit is our adorable big ginger cat. He likes to wander around during courses and see what everyone is up to. Often to be found sitting on the stable door of the studio.
Biscuit very sadly died this year. We really miss him. RIP.
General Course Information
We aim to give excellent quality tuition in a very relaxed and friendly environment so that everybody goes away full of positive information and having enjoyed a fabulous day. All courses include fresh coffee and home made cake and our famous delicious, healthy, home made lunch with wine.
Arrive from 9.30am for coffee before a 10am start. We finish at 4.30pm. There is easy parking .
Our courses make lovely presents. You can give a specific course or give a Bradness Gallery Gift Voucher – our gift vouchers never expire
Follow up Days are designed to help you progress. You bring your own lunch and materials. For dates please see each course page.
Terms and Conditions
Course payments are non refundable. If you are in any doubt about your ability to attend, then you should take out your own insurance policy.
If you need to cancel because of Covid then we will find you a place on a course at a later date. There is no time limit on rebooking.
A non-refundable deposit must be paid to secure your place on any course and the balance is due 8 weeks before the course starts.
