THE ARTISTS AND THEIR GARDEN
The Bradness Gallery has been lovingly created over a span of nearly 40 years. The property was originally a farm for hundreds of years and what is now the studio was stabling for horses. When Mike came here in 1985, what is now the garden was simply a paddock with 2 trees. The garden has evolved form this time into what you see today.
In my former life I was a nutritionist and back in the 1990’s I learnt the importance of the eco system and the soil and so since I came here in 2009 we have never used any chemicals and we very much garden for wildlife.
We have fabulous visiting birds, frogs, toads, bees and insects. We have even had a kingfisher and a Firecrest fly into our kitchen to fly off again into the garden.
The garden is a great joy and inspiration in our work.
THIS YEAR, 2023, WE WILL BE OPEN FOR THE NATIONAL GARDENS SCHEME ON
SATURDAY JUNE 3RD AND SUNDAY JUNE 4TH FROM 11AM TO 5PM
WITH TEAS AND OUR FAMOUS HOME MADE CAKES.
