WHY IS THIS COURSE GOOD FOR YOUR ART?
In the context of general painting techniques and skills you will learn the following:-
This course is a must for all who wish to paint. A basic skill for any artist is to feel fully confident to mix any and every colour that they want to from bright lime green through to sludgy plums and a 300 different greys. We will start to understand how and why some of the world’s great artists use different colours in their paintings and how they can inspire us to expand our own use of colour.

2 DAY COURSE
APRIL 7th and 8th – Thursday and Friday
JULY 13th and 14th – Wednesday and Thursday
AUGUST 11th and 12th – Thursday and Friday
OCTOBER 26th and 27th – Wednesday and Thursday
FOLLOW UP SESSIONS – for those who have already attended a 2 day course. Cost £75 per day (£60 per day if you book 5 sessions in advance). You bring your own lunch and own materials. Coffee and cake included.

ONE TO ONE MENTORING SESSIONS
£75 per hour. Invaluable for people who are stuck with certain aspects in their painting journey to enable them to progress forward. Coffee and cake include20
The 2 day course is suitable for complete beginners or those who are experienced painters but would like to build colour mixing and theory confidence and skills. We learn in watercolour and acrylics as they are good teaching mediums. If you have questions about colour mixing in other mediums we will cover that. No drawing skills required.
As with all our courses, the subject is a vehicle for learning different artistic skills that build our technical tool kit.
We will learn ……
Coffee, cake and a delicious home cooked, healthy lunch with wine are included.
Arrive from 9.30am, for coffee before a 10am start. The day finishes at 4.30pm.
The safety of all our students and staff is of the utmost priority. All health and safety measures are in place including:-
plenty of open windows and fresh air
temperature test on entry
frequent hand washing and sanitising stations
very small classes to allow distancing
rigorous cleaning throughout – before and after classes
each student has their own work table
Any class that has to be postponed or cancelled because of covid can be rebooked. There is no time limit on rebooking classes.
